I had a particularly tricky triple wardrobe that had to be taken down two flights of narrow stairs. Even once dismantled, It seemed almost impossible, but they worked out a solution, and managed to get it out without causing any damage.
All three team members (Dave, Paul and Andy) were incredibly polite, helpful, and clearly experienced. No job was too difficult for them, and their positive attitude made the whole moving process so much less stressful. I honestly couldn’t have done it without them and would highly recommend this company to anyone in need of a reliable and professional removal service. -

Everything was explained well and they really listened when we needed certain things packed in particular ways. Nothing was too much.
Everything was super easy and we didn't have to worry about a single thing. On the day, everything was packed safe and securely. The lads were super friendly and really put us at ease. A few members of the family are disabled and they went above and beyond to make sure they were comfortable and happy with everything.

We had to use their storage facility when moving from our property as our new property wasn't ready, the guys doing the removal were of the highest standard not only in … More their professional capacity but also in their attention to detail and people skills courteous and polite. When it came time to get our house contents out of storage and brought to our new home this went off seamlessly and without damages and bang on time as arranged. Again the guys doing the move we're a credit to the removal profession and went above and beyond to make a potentially stressful time (as moving is) very pleasant. AVOID!!! They accidentally smashed our chest of drawers and every time I’ve contacted them about it they either ignore me or tell me someone will call me back and they inevitably never do!! They never apologise for their lack of service … More and are not easy to deal with! Very poor communication, promising I would be contacted back in 3 hours time and it’s been made a priority, and days go by without a word! A van full of our belongings also went missing on the day for 4 and a half hours! Contacted head office multiple times trying to find out where it is, every time I’m told someone will call me back with an update and they never do!
Everything seemed great on the initial meeting with Tim, very friendly and approachable. Michael was also super helpful on the day but god forbid anything goes wrong and the office are impossible to get hold of. Still waiting to be contacted about our broken chest of drawers! -

If I could give the owner of this company minus stars I would. Where do I start. Tim quoted us for our move from Chelmsford to the Isle of Wight, this included dismantling furniture and putting it back together the other end, ferry costs … More and packaging. Tim stated we had to pay the £1000 deposit so he could book the ferry and deliver packaging. Tim delivered the packaging (a day later than promised) and all the boxes were already used but because they were in good condition we didn’t question it although we had to scribble out the previous owners writing….. 2 days before the move I decided to contact Tim and query the ferry time he had booked to which Tim hadn’t even booked a ferry and was then messaging and calling me the next day panicking because there was minimal ferries left. I spent ages trying to assist him and he advised he had booked the 8am ferry and also had a bit of a go at me for not staying at the Isle of Wight the night before the move and being ready to let the removal men start early. I advised Tim from the get go that the move was on the 18th and as he didn’t let me know a ferry time in advance I couldn’t book the same one as him so went ahead and booked one that tallied up with the time of collecting the keys. I messaged Tim on the morning of the move to advise we were waiting for the ferry and would be on the Island at 11am. He replied saying his guys won’t be with me until 13:30. They actually arrived at 14:30 and said that they had to leave in an hour and be quick due to Tim booking the 16:20 ferry back for them…. I asked if they were putting the furniture back together to which they said no Tim never asked them to. Just to clarify we paid Tim £2000 for this move. I phoned Tim and he said it’s all my fault as the boys would of been there earlier if I had just stayed the night before and had the keys earlier… remember Tim you were the one who booked the ferry too late and that’s why you couldn’t get to the house at a decent time. Tim also said that it was never agreed for the furniture to be dismantled even though he stated on the phone that because we took the furniture apart he was under the impression he didn’t have to put it together again… we only took it apart as we had to put our stuff into storage due to the buyer of our property wanting the flat sooner than later. I thought we were being good saving Tim the job of dismantling it and we weren’t even going to question any money being due back to us as long as the furniture was assembled again. Tim I’m sure your reading this and I again would like to personally thank you for leaving myself (who had a C-section 6 weeks ago at the time) in a really stressed upset state and just to clarify I never swore at you down the phone I said I am so ‘effing’ angry please call me back when you have a solution so I didn’t have to be left with loads of furniture to put together. I’d also like to personally thank you for not ever calling me back and sending a rude email in caps lock and ignoring my partners phone calls. I emailed you twice to state that items had been damaged, one being my babies cot and you have ignored me. You also damaged a new 60 inch tv. £35 included on the quote for the insurance Tim and we signed a contract which you have now BROKEN. PLEASE AVOID THIS COMPANY AS ONCE TIM HAS YOUR MONEY, HE DOES NOT RESPOND OR CARE IF ITEMS ARE DAMAGED. He is a cowboy and a coward and has caused me nothing but stress the whole move I would never recommend to anyone. Enjoy the £2000 Tim. I look forward to see what response you write under this to WEASLE your way out of the truth. I also have all the dated pictures with the times to prove you damaged the items. Hope to see you in a small claims court soon, which will be on the Isle of Wight.

I would highly recommend CM Removals…honestly they literally are the best. I had a unexpected move due to waking up to my whole house being flooded top to bottom Thursday 23rd May 2024 as you can imagine the panic, dread, anxiety and stress … More trying to save as much of your possessions as possible from ruin was a nightmare all on the Thursday. I managed to sort out storage with Big Blue Squirrel in Maldon who recommended CM Removal, i had the number but still forgot to call, by Friday 24th May when i attempted to call CM Removals battery was low, mobile phone was about die, plugged charger in not knowing all sockets in property were now damp and my phone crashed! More panic, ended up calling from my neighbours phone, last minute, what a absolute, simple, stress free booking, i spoke with Tim, who is literally my super hero, honestly professional, easy to talk to, top class service, calmed me down and made the process a breath of fresh air. The guys came on day, so lovely, so helpful Andy and Paul, top fellas, arrived bang on time, handled my stuff with care, put me at ease, 2 bedroom house cleared and loaded on truck, carefully and efficiently. Whilst the removal team were great and our possessions were moved from Essex to Suffolk with no issues the initial communication with the company was very poor. We agreed a move and was meant to have packing materials dropped off on Friday, … More by Saturday we still had none. After 30 phone calls, 3 Voicemails, 2 Text Messages, 1 Email, and 1 Facebook message we still didn't get a reply.
After going to the registered business address on the Sunday there was no answer.
Got a text message saying he was away on a Family Holiday, and can we get the packing materials ourselves for the move the next day and would be reimbursed.
This left us just half a day to pack.
On the day of the removals all went very well and the Guys that came out was excellent friendly and polite.
Could not fault the removal service, just wish the communication was better. -

We chose the top price option to include dismantling of beds and wardrobes. Our experience began on the packing day before the move when the man in charge of the team moving us argued with my wife about whether dismantling a garden goal … More was included in the quote and then walked away saying he wouldn't move us and "he didn't f£@$ing need the hassle" in front of my young children. My children went to school scared that "The Swearing Man" would not move our things or would break them.
The man left the job at that point and other people in the team did what they had to do, and I spoke to Tim who told me that although he didn't think they should dismantle the goal they would on this occasion. The next day someone in his team told me that Tim had told them not to dismantle it, so I did it (which took about 5 minutes). Tim told me he deals with complaints in writing and asked me to write all this down so I wrote a long explanation of what had happened. Obviously the goal was irrelevant, but the behaviour of the main person on this job was appalling.
The move itself was OK – a lot of plants and cardboard models got squashed but nothing catastrophic given the awful start and there were plenty of people working hard to get the job done for which we are grateful. 2 months on and after Tim offering to come round to my house to discuss the written complaint whilst I was on holiday and me saying that I wanted a written reply to my written complaint I have heard nothing to repeated mails asking him for the result of my complaint. I am therefore reluctantly writing a bad review of a local business but given Tim's insistence that I should look at his reviews to see this stuff never happens I feel I have no option at this point to try and put other people on notice.
To summarise – this company upset my family and made our move much more stressful than we had ever expected and have still not dealt with our complaint. -
Mick and the guys made the whole move enjoyable. They took great care of our items, offered advice and suggestions on how best to organise the boxes coming into the house they were all genuinely a great bunch.
Anything we asked or required … More they tried there best to accommodate and also made sure we had what we needed before they left.
We took the offer of a packing service and I would highly recommend this. Every one of our items arrived in the condition it left our previous house.

Boxes were due to arrive at start of last week, we stayed in but nothing came. Chased them up but apparently the boxes were out of stock. No email or explanation, we've had to chase them. When we arrived at the new house, the friendly team worked quickly to put everything in its new place, including our clothes into the wardrobe. They even unloaded our cars so that everything was in by 3:30pm.
